If you have eternal life, you can NOT die, you can't kill yourself, you just can't die, and you'll be living, forever and ever. You'll be stuck at the age you start your eternity though. You can't get any younger, can't get any older.
And you will feel pain. Just that you won't die. But it'd be painful. Your bones/skin will heal itself to normal though, so, for example, even if you get a serious burn, your skin would go back to normal.
If you choose to live forever, you are on your own. (Meaning, there's no other person that happens to have this ability and your family will die, like normal human beings.)
And you can have children...and yes, girls will never reach menopause. Unless you start going immortal after like 50 or so.

If you choose to die, you'll just be a normal human being, aging and dying.
